What to expect on your first visit
In order to provide you with the best possible dental care, we reserve 120 minutes for this initial visit. Dr. Petre will meet with you personally to review your medical and dental history and discuss any concerns you might have. Adult teeth cleanings are not done at the first visit. The first visit for children 8 years of age and older usually takes about an hour and includes a comprehensive exam, needed x-rays and teeth cleaning.
During this initial visit, we will obtain all the pertinent information and collect all the necessary records to determine how best to meet your dental needs.
These records include a set of full-mouth x-rays, complete periodontal charting, a thorough oral exam including intra-oral pictures, oral cancer screening, microscopic plaque analysis, dental materials biocompatibility testing, oral galvanism testing, EAV testing to asses health and to determine if your body is ready for dental work.
If you already have recent dental records (within 6 months) from your previous dentist, please make arrangements to have them sent to you or to our office prior to your visit.
Once all information is collected, Dr. Petre will review the findings with you and make recommendations based on the state of your teeth, gum tissue, and supporting bone, as well as their potential effect on overall health.
All fees for recommended treatment will be discussed in advance. We will gladly discuss payment options, and assist you with your insurance needs.
